Finally had our long overdue breakfast at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The cafe is just right beside the visitor centre. Rather out in the open, its nice having a meal right in the middle of a nice garden. Think maybe go back there again when free (and rich a bit). Well, at least the parking is cheap...Haha. Looks nice? Western breakfast and strawberry pancake! Lets see...

On course now... supposed to have a lot of time... supposed to go out with many people... supposed to play a lot of mahjong... supposed to save a lot on petrol...

Reality: No time to sleep, going out with few people, never play mahjong and spending a lot more on petrol.

O well... at least im happy now

Come to think of it, i dont have one.
For some, to die of some cancer or heart attack, to not be able to earn enough $$ to support living, to die in plane crash when flying, blah blah blah...

Flying dutchman said something that hit me quite badly:

losing his wife... for he has grown so much that he could not survive without her.

Have you been through that phase?
Will i have that kind of feeling again?

Winston was telling me that i seemed a changed man after coming back from holiday (china)
Thinking about it, im really rather changed from a few months back. Think i was suffering from some withdrawal syndrome... Cant live without company or something like that.

Now? i still treasure company. BUT, work is more impt! Have diverted most attention to work... I think the only backslash to this is, its always hard to find people to come out and play during the weekends! Hard to find people to come travelling with me!

Changed am i? Probably not. Maybe i only got back my confidence and focus in life. Life is very much still the same. Single life is quite good... having all the time in the world to do what i want to...

Deep inside me, i am still aware that i'm a giver... rather than a taker... Chris said: you receive more when you give more. How true is that? We'll see...

Woah... what a special day this is.

I woke up at 9 wondering whether i should go to work.

Reached work place at about 10 and wondered why i was there in the 1st place.

Went for some Malay course thing and slept through much of the lesson.

Went to watch Xmen which turned out to be one hellofamovie!

Lent my car to Lionel just before the end of the special day...

Hmmz... what a special day

Anyway,
Xmen 3, The last stand.

I didnt really follow the cartoon and comic version of Xmen since young. All i knew was the main characters were, which was later on carved into my mind when i started playing arcade, with all the Xmen characters fighting each other.

If you would just have some slightest memory of Jean Gray transforming into the phoenix, thats it. Thats the main gist of the show, which had brought out some fantastic acting and special effects of the show. Though i was sitting comfortably in my seat, the special effects had me absorbed into the show.

Terrific ending i must say... would you hurt someone whom you love?

Maybe i shall not elaborate much... Just go watch it. Sure to be entertaining!

Had a great chat with Dewayne... I love to hear friends talk about their happenings and life stories. Cool...

Yeah... really looking forward to move on, not with respect to my life, but my job. (im not intending to change job :P)

Im a poor chap, worth 1 set of uniform and a worthless piece of junk metal that drinks petrol...
But im also an opptimistic chap, with new found optimism and a bag of stupid ideas...

Watched it with Emily at Tiong Bahru...
Tiong Bahru plaza is crap la can? No place to walk, no place to shop and of course not much things to do there. We had to walk around for 2 hours, and at least settle down in the arcade beside the cinema jus to rest our feet.

Anyway, about the show...

Lets jus put it this way, both of us prefer the book...
Its a rather simplified version of the book, probably for those who have not read the book, which the show would get them interested to grab hold of the manificient book.

Tom Hanks's probably not the right man for the job,
I see magneto being the bad guy again.
O ok... the girl's very sweet looking.
BUT hey! COME ON! We had better expectations of the show...
That about sums it up for the review.

Entertainment value: 2 stars
Remarks: If you read the book, dont watch the show.
If you havent, go read the book... Thats all
